The height of the fence on a game farm depends on the type of animals kept. Game can be grouped into various categories based on their potential to move over, under, or through fences. It should, however, be noted that most animals will only resort to crossing fences when they are under stress or duress.

This fence consists of 30 strands smooth steel wire. The horizontal wires are spaced close together to prevent Jackals from getting through the fence.
This conventional game fence consists of 21 strands of steel wire. Netting wires are added to the bottom part of the fence, to make it ‘Jackal proof’.
The netting wire is folded over the bottom part of the fence, until it touches the ground.
Die Draadwerf recommends adequate electrification, with tripwires (preventing Warthogs from borrowing under the fence) to make it 100% predator free.
Y-standards are spaced at 10 metre intervals and Droppers can be spaced from 500 millimetres to 1.43 metres.
